Dear followers, I am sure u were wondering...why the blog not updated yet????
don´t worry, don´t worry, bikers are here in Hamburg...safe after a very easy road that literally pushed them to this fantastic city.
Actually good fortune seemed to abandon the crew when there was the 5th flat tire of the holyday (Andrea now leeds for 3-2): few km after starting, after a mud path....the typical "rim-on-stone-sound" and Andrea´s bike was under reparation...ok, no problems, after half an hour the the "caravan was on its way" (cit. Van Morrison).
Arrived in Harburg (important stage...now it is possible to see Germanny from the top to down and the road made up to now really seem long on the map!)...the Cobram´s team were welcomed by our friend Meike, that offered herhome to these two dirty nomads for one night (Thank you Meike, that is here in front of me checking the webpage of the blog).
After a shower and a laundry, the exclusive guide, showed the the city...impressive! Impressive also the two backed potatoes and the supper taken for dinner (idea for the future: open a backed potatoes + supper shop in Italy...I am sure that my father would appreciate it). Coming back to the town it is amazing the fact that is difficoult to distinguish which is the port and which is the city, because they are indeed mixed into one! Difficoult to explain, but the team got a real good image!
Ok, even if the stage was short (only 77 km) the tour of the Hamburg was a 20 km red carpet. My legs are saying "Giacomo Giacomo" and my eyes are making "Pupi pupi".

Cari Followers, siamo sicuri che vi stiate chiedendo.....perche´il blog non e´aggiornato????
non preoccupatevi, state sereni...i ciclisti sono arrivati sani e salvi ad Amburgo dopo una facile tappa che li ha letteralmente spinti verso questa fantastica citta´.
Veramente la buona stella sembrava aver abbandonato ancora una volta la truppa quando la 5 gomma si bucava (andrea adesso conduce per 3 a 2): pochi km dalla partenza dopo un tratto di fango ....il tipico rumore "cerchione su sasso" e la bici di Andrea era sotto i ferri....ok, nessun problema, dopo mezzora "the caravan was on its way" (cit. Van Morrison).
Arrivati ad Amburgo (tappa importante: ora e´possibile vedere la Germania dall´alto al basso e la strada fatta inizia ad essere parecchia se vista sulla cartina), il cobram´s team veniva accolto dalla nostra amica Meike che ha offerto la sua casa a questi sporchi errabondi per una notte (grazie Meike, tu che stai davanti a me in questo momento a cliccare il blog per vedere se ho postato il nuovo racconto).
Dopo una doccia e una lavatrice, la ns guida esclusiva, mostrava le bellezze della citta´...impressionante, come impressinante la cena con due patate al forno farcite e zuppa (idea per il futuro, aprire un negozio di patate e zuppa in Italia...di sicuro mio padre lo apprezzerebbe). tornando alla citta´ e´strano non riuscire a cpire quale sia il porto e quale sia la citta´perche´infati sono una cosa sola. difficile da spiegare, ma la squadra e´rimasta veramente impressionata da tutto cio´!
ok...anche se la tappa e´stata corta(77 km) il giro di Amburgo e´stata una passerella di 20 km, le mie gambe fanno Giacomo Giacomo e ho gli occhi che fanno Pupi Pupi, quindi

11th stage nienburg - rotenburg 78 km
Now the kompass really shows the north... The team has hamburg as a target...
Some technical problems ( now the "flat tires challenge" is 2-2) delayed the start. But this was still nothing: after few km a real rain and wind storm made the team totally wet...a theoretically easy stage became quite difficoult due to this and to the cold weather that came as a consequence.
In order to compensate the energy losses due to the chill and to fight the scorn of the rain, the team found a relief in food:
- more ore less 800 sandwiches at the hostel breakfast
- an immediate 2nd breakfast at a backer
- a lunch at brunch time at Verden, when the team abandoned the weser river to take the road to rotenburg.
Tomorrow hopefully a friend shall guide us in hamburg... Will the heroes be able to reach the meeting point?????

La bussola segna chiaramente il nord... La squadra ora ha amburgo come traguardo..
Alcuni problemi tecnici ( la competizione "gomme bucate" รจ sul 2 a 2) ritardavano la partenza. Ma questo nn era ancora nulla: dopo pochi km una tempesta di vento e pioggia bagnava il team... Una tappa teoricamente facile diventava abbastanza complessa. Per compensare le perdite di energia dovute al freddo e lo scoramento per la pioggia il team trovava rifugio nel cibo:
- 800 panini alla colazione dell'ostello
- un immediata 2a colazione in una panetteria
- un pranzo in sapore di brunch quando il team arrivava un verden adove abbandinando il fiume weser prendeva la direzione di amburgo.
Domani, si spera, un'amica dovrebbe guidare i ciclisti ad amburgo. Riusciranno i nostri eroi a trovare il punto defito per l' appuntamento???

10th stage: Rinteln - Nienburg 119 km
Finally a dry night in the Ritteln Hostel...all the clothes and stuff drying in the room gave to the environment the typical flavour af an old sport bag that was forgotten closed for three days....lovely!
Wake up call...breakfast is ready on the table....as usual in this occasions the two riders showed their class: in few minutes a 100 billion calories breakfast was passing through the throats of the two heroes.
After 10 days the rythm is more or less defined:
Finally a day of sun and back wind. These two factors are the basic ingredients for the "20 rule": "more than 20 degrees and more than 20 km/h create a good mood in the team!".
After 40 km an important milestone: 1000 km since the beginning of the holyday! the event was toasted with a picture of the speedometer (pictures later on ) and a pee-stop in the river.
The landscape is really changed, no more hills and all is flat like a pan-cake...the team really begins to smell north!
now the usual problem of the dinner: kebab? china? mexican (no....spicy food is not the best for bikers)? bratwrust and krauts??? please give your opinion!

Finalmente un giorno senza pioggia nell´ostello di Ritteln....i vestiti e le robe messe ad asciugare in stanza davano all´ambiente il tipico aroma di una vecchia borsa da allenamento dimenticata chiusa per tre giorni....adorabile!
Sveglia...colazione pronta in tavola...come al solito i due ciclisti mostravano la loro classe innata: in pochi minuti 100 billioni di calorie passavano nelle gole dei due eroi.
Dopo 10 giorni il ritmo delle tappe e´all´incirca definito:
Giorno di sole e vento alle spalle. Questi due fattori sono ingredienti principali della "regola del 20": "piu´di 20 gradi e piu´di 20 km/h creano il buonumore nel team".
Dopo 40 km un traguardo importante: 1000 km dall´inizio della vacanza! l´evento e´stato festeggiato con una foto al contakm e un pee-stop nel fiume.
Il paesaggio e´totalmente cambiato: non piu´colline e tutto e´piatto come un asse da stiro..la squadra inizia seriamente ad annusare il nord!
Ora il solito problema della cena: Kebab? china?Messicano (no...cibo piccante non ´e´il meglio se si deve satre in sella...)? Bratwrust e crauti? dateci dei consigli!

9th Stage: Holzminden - Rintnel 87 km
Always on the river after the terrible night described in the previous post. Nice start with 30 km before the massive breakfast (caffe, cheesecake and "Andrea make me happy with your choice" cake). We thought that the rain was over, but after lunch a shower hit our helmets...Nothing serious just annoying. Anyway the stage passed quite easy.
We passed through Hameln that is the town described in the tale of the "PIfferaio Magico".
NIce surprise at the arrival in Rinteln...the town is full of people also after 6 o´clock!!!! full....there is more than 0 people on the road.

Sempre sulla riva del fiume dopo la terribile notte descritta nel post precedente. Buona partenza con 30 km prima di una colazione massiva (caffe, cheese cake e "andrea Sorprendimi" cake). Pensavamo che la pioggia fosse finita, ma dopopranzo un acquazzone ci ha investito; poca roba, solo noia. Comunque la tappa e´ passata abbastanza facilmente.
Siamo passati per Hmalen che e´ la citta´ descritta nel "Pifferaio Magico".
Ottima sorpresa all´arrivo a Rinteln..La citta´ e´ piena di gente anche dopo le 6!!!!piena...c´e´ gente in giro.

Pensavamo che la pioggia fosse finita, ma dopopranzo un acquazzone ci ha investito; poca roba, solo noia. Comunque la tappa e´ passata abbastanza facilmente.

8th Stage: Hanmunden - Holzminden 96 km
After a stage incredibly dry and nice, aftzer having set the camp, rain started to fall and the and the mood of the equipe as well....in particular ANDREA´s mood....after few beers he started to have sad feelings, like an old alchol addicted guy...all got worse when the team discovered that there weren´t any McDonald in town to have our favourite dessert...MCFLURRY.
Once in the tent....after few hours of sleep the situation got worse and the climax was the decision of Andrea to take materass and sleeping bag and go in the toilet...at least it was dry and comfortable...By the way every hour he went to check if the river was flooding and to, in case, rescue his friend Mauro and his bike.
Nothing bad happened!

Dopo una tappa incredibilmebntre asciutta e lineare, dopo aver piantato la tenda, la pioggia ha iniziato a cadere cosi´ come il morale della truppa...in particolare l´uumore di ANDREA...e dopo un paio di birre ha iniziato ad avere strane sensazioni, tristi come quelle di un alcolizzato. Tutto e´ peggiorato dopo aver scopeto che in citta´ non era presente un McDonald dove mangiarsi un MCFLURRY.
Una volta in tenda, dopo un paio di ore di sonno la situazione e´ addirittura peggiorata e l´apice e´ stato raggiunto dalla decisione diAndrea di prendere materassino e sacco a pelo e di andare a dormire in bagno; almeno era asciutto e confortevole...in ogni caso ogni ora andava a controllare se il fiume stesse straripando e, in caso, salvare il suo amico Mauro e la sua bici..
Nulla di brutto e´ capitato.

7th stage: Eisenach - Hann. Munden 112 km
the description of the stage is a bit shorter than the other ones, this to permit us to list some technical notes relative to the first week.
The Stage was really long and hard....fantastic road on the Werra river...passing trough awesome small villages.
Next stop at a very nice camping called "Zella in Werratal" (www.zella-im-werratal.de) where we met a guy who goes twice a year in Belluno to do some parachuting.
We found a cycle path called Weser Radweg that will take us straght to Hamburg.
La descrizione della tappa e´ un po´ piu´ corta perche´ abbiamo listato un po´ di note tecniche relative alla prima settimana di viaggio.
La tappa e´ stata molto lunga e faticosa...una strada fantastica sul fiume Werra che passa attraverso bellissimi piccoli villaggi.
Ci siamo fermati in un campeggio veramente carino chiamato "Zella in Werratal" (www.zella-im-werratal.de)dove abbiamo incontrato un ragazzo che due volte l´anno va a Belluno a fare paracadutismo.
Abbiamo trovato un´altra pista ciclabile che si chiama Weser Radweg e che ci condurra´ ad Amburgo.
