With the last meters of this incredible ride that took the team to Copehagen passing by the the interesting museum of the viking ships in Roskilde...all seems to be arrived to a conclusion..nice trip, incredibly long (around 1670 km, without any motorized vehicle except for the ferry boat to Rodby..even a small Donau crossing was completed with a paddle boat!!!), but all was worked out so naturally that we can say that the team is ready for the return by bike.......NO NO NO NO...I will come to the description of the return in few lines...
About Copenhagen, I should open a blog just to describe it. I was there during my studies and it has been a town that I really loved, and it was nice to see that after years everything and nothing has changed in the soul of the city...and I wasnt just an "Erasmus Student fallen in love with the first international experience of his life". I won t describe much of the town except the dinner had in the famous ANKARA restaurant (Ankara) where for around 10 € a "all you can eat buffet" (ahahahaah funny) was ready to be the asphalt for a new competition among Mauro and Andrea....how many times from the table to the buffet??? the athlets had a very technical approach and they studied each other till the end with a final result of 4 - 4, that celebrated the unity of the team during all the adventure!
Mojo Blues bar was the perfet theatre for the digestion of the food (mojo).
The thrilling ending of the adventure was: ok, we are at destination...and now??? how can we get back to Geneva and Padova??? as soon as we discovered that bike plus train wasn t a fesable option (about one week for the first tickets and a trip of about 25 hours)....a brand new stage was performed: about 60 km to go to each delivery company to get infos about the prices..all the options where evaluated (the most exotic one was to go back to Italy using an old Viking Aka stolen from the museum..come on, they were able to reach the States with those boats, and we cannot go to mediterranean sea??)...It was discovered that in 2012 planes still exist and it was possible to carry also sport equipment inside them!so the final result (except for unexpected problems than can always happen) is this: next monday the Cobrams team will celebrate the official ending of the trip, the athlets will reach The Copenhagen Airport and everyone will hit the road to Italy and Switzerland.

Con gli ultimi km di questa corsa incredibile che ha portato il team fino a Copenhagen passando per il magnifico museo delle navi vikinghe di Roskilde tutto sembra essere arrivato all conclusione. Gran viaggio ( circa 1670 km senza veicoli a motore, fatta salva la traversata del Baltico fino a rodby... anche un piccolo attraversamento del Danubio è stato effettuato su barca a remi), tutto in maniera molto tranquilla e naturale, tanto che si puó dire che la squdra è pronta al ritorno in bici..... NO NO NO... Parleró del viaggio di ritorno tra qualche riga.
Riguardo a Copenhagen, dovrei aprire un blog solo x descriverla. Ci sono stato durante i miei studi, mi è piaciuta moltissimo ed è stato bello vedere che ,infine, tutto e nulla è cambiato nell'anima della città e che il mio non era un semplice "innamoramento da studente Erasmus alla prima esperienza internazionale". Nn voglio descrivere la città eccetto la cena al famoso ANKARA dove, per 10 euro, un "all u can eat buffet" è diventato l'asfalto per un ulteriore sfida tra Mauro ed Andrea: quante volte si muoveranno tra la tavola e il buffet per riempire il piatto? Gli atleti han avuto un approccio molto tecnico alla sfida e, studiandosi a vicenda, han concluso con un 4 a 4 che ha sancito l'unità del team durante tutta l'avventura!
Il Mojo blues bar è stato il palco perfetto per la digestione.
Il finale thrilling: ok siam a destinazione.. E mo'?? Cm torniamo a Ginevra e Padova? Dopo aver scoperto che treno + bici era infattibile ( una settimana d'attesa e 25 ore di viaggio) una nuova tappa è scaturita a sorpresa: 60 km in giro tra i vari spedizionieri per scprire i prezzi e i termini. Tutte le opzioni sn stste valutate ( la più esotica è stata di rubare una Aka vikinga e tornare per mare.. D'altronde... Ci sn andati in America con quelle barche, che sarà mai raggiungere il Mediterraneo???) fino a scoprire che nel 2012 esistono gli aerei e che è possibile caricare attrezzatura sportiva in stiva. Quindi questo è il finale: lunedí il Cobram's team celebrerà la fine ufficiale del viaggio, gli atleti raggiungeranno l'aeroporto e ognuno prenderà la sua strada!
Grazie a tutti gli amici che ci hanno incoraggiato durante il viaggio. Speriamo che vi siate divertiti a leggere queste righe tanto quano noi ci siam divertiti a scriverle!

16th Stage: Vordingbord - Ringsted 72 km
Ahhhhhh It is nice to write a blog after a bath in a swimming pool and a dinner with sandwiches and frikadelles (click here) in the camping kitchens.
Exactly, the final surprise of the today´s stage was the camping, with all the comfort that the team could desire.
Stage under a strong sun with high temperature all along the Sealand Island...always wind to push the so-called athlets all the way from the start to the end. All this made to today´s stage as the fastest one from the beginning of the holiday.
Going in the details that the followers want to know....a delicious lunch with Smørrebrød (click here) and fruits in front of the marvellous Coop of Næestved.
This town of 40.000 citizen presents a incredible library where internet is completely free and, exactly here, the two athlets (wearing the cycling clothes never washed from the beginning of the trip), were able to take contact again with the world!
Now all the attention is focused on the stage of tomorrow: in theory it is foreseen the arrival in Copenhagen where the ride will be finally over!!

Esattamente, la sorpresa finale della tappa odierna e´stata il campeggio con tutti i confort che il team poteva desiderare.
Tappa attraverso lo Sealand sotto un sole a catinelle con alte temperature...sempre vento a spingere i cosiddetti atleti dall´inizio alla fine. Tutto questo ha reso la tappa odierna una delle piu´veloci dall´inizio della vacanza.
Andando nei dettagli che piu´interessano i foolowers...un pranzo delizioso con Smørrebrød (click here) e frutta davanti alla Coop di Næestved.
Questa citta´di 40.000 abitanti ha un´incredibile biblioteca dove internet e´completamente gratuito e, esattamente qui, i due atleti (con addosso i vestiti tecnici mai lavati dall´inizio del viaggio), potevano riprendere i contatti con il mondo.
Ora tutta l´attenzione e´focalizzata sulla tappa di domani: in teoria e´previsto lárrivo a Copenhagen, dove la cavalcata arrivera´a conclusione!!!

15th stage: from Rødby to Vordingborg 71 km
Easy easy stage....just 71 km....it´s nothing for our legs, now used to more difficult stages...
Anyway, the first impression with the danish land and the danish cyclepath is good: the roads are flat, no hills at all...and the sun is shining...maybe too much now (we are never happy with the wheater conditions....our tanning is now the one typical of cyclists...part of the legs and arms are bronzed...the rest is bright white...)
We arrive in Vordingborg quite early, at about 15,00...so it sounds good to us to have a cold beer, just to celebrate the first true overnight stop in Danmark...What a stupid idea! After ten minutes we are both completely (half)drunk (we think this is due to the tiredness we have) so we decide to relax a little bit at the local beach...very nice place...after one hour sleep we decide that is time to have the first bath in danish waters....the gap between italian water temparature and the danish water temperature is at least 10 degrees... for sure we are not used to that kind of temperature. But danish peolple are! Kids and grannies bathe normaly, even at 9 at night! This is amazing....
After a shower, stop at the local supermarket (Netto): beer, peanuts and fresciona (cucumbers) as apetizer,
brown bread, tomatos, feta, frankfurter and a `delicius´ horseradish mousse as dinner. Perfect homemade dinner in the camping (except for the mousse...uneatable). In the next few days we´ll prove all the danish food we can...we´ll let you know!

Tappa facile facile...solo 71 km....che non e´ nulla per le nostre gambe ormai abituate a tappe ben piu´ difficili... Ad ogni modo, la prima impressione con il suolo danese e con le loro piste ciclabili e´ buona: le strade sono piatte, nessuna collina...il sole splende...anche troppo! (non siamo mai contenti con le condizioni del tempo...la nostra abbronzatura ora e´ come quella dei ciclisti....un pezzo di gambe e braccia abbronzato, il resto candido come la neve....)
Arriviamo a Vordingborg abbastanza presto, crca alle 15,00...cosi´ ci sembra una bella idea festeggiare la prima vera notte in terra danese...stupida idea! Dopo neanche 10 minuti siamo mezzi ubriachi (per via della stanchezza) cosi´ decidicamo di rilassarci un po´ in spiaggia (il campeggio da´ sulla spiaggia)....bel posto.. dopo un´orettadi dormita decidiamo che e´ giunto il momento di fare il primo bagno in acque danesi...la differenza di temperatura tra il nostro mare e quello danese e´ di almeno 10 gradi...e noi non siamo proprio abituati a quella temperatura....ma il popolo danese lo e´! I bambinetti e le nonnine fanno il bagno come nulla fosse, anche alle nove di sera! Popolo meraviglioso....
Dopo la doccia, fermata al Netto (il discount locale): birra, arachidi e fresciona per aperitivo, pane nero, pomodori, feta, wurstel e una ´deliziosa´ mousse al cren per cena. Cena perfetta da fare in campeggio (eccetto per la mousse, immangiabile...). Nei prossimi giorni proveremo tutti i cibi tipici danesi....vi faremo sapere!

14th Sage: Neustadt - Rødby 90 km
Å Æ Ø....Yes my dears,
the letters that you see are from the Danish alphabet of the Danish Keyboard I have beneath my fingers...the speakers were saying: THEY LANDED, THEY LANDED...and it is true, the team is now in Denmark after crossing the Baltic see with one hand on the steering bar and the other keeping an hot dog bought at the parking of the ferries!
The way from Neustadt was not so easy becuase the ankles of Andrea were paining, but no discussions: the count-down was already started and the rocket was warming the engines...the launch procedure couldn´t be stopped!
Initially worried about the possibility to find a place in the ferry boat the team discovered that:
As soon as landed in Denmark everything changed: no need to hurry, frok now on every km was holyday...it was possible to admire the Danish landscape and to breath the Scandinavian lifestile. Everywhere white crossed red flags in the gardens of houses and small and simple houses, with big windows through which a curious Italian can freely look inside...
In the ferry the team had the company of a Swiss/German/Thailandese (Thomas & Daniela) couple that was following the same route. As soon as the boat landed, Thomas realized that he forgot his phone in a restaurant in Germany...so he had to go back to Germany while Daniela stayed in Rødby and, after the camp was set, the Cobram´s team + Daniela went to have dinner in the town...first Danish Beers in Danish Land (Carlsberg...Probably the best Beer in Town).
The bikes were crying because the mud and the rain made the mechanics dry. In the camping a deep wash and re-oil treatment made them feel young again!
Final note: now the weather turned definitely to summer...sun is bright in the sky and temperature is touching the 20 degrees (ok, we are in Scandinavia....this is summer here!).

le lettere che vedete sono dell´alfabeto danese della tastiera danese che ho sotto le mie dita...gli altoparlanti gridavano: SONO SBARCATI SONO SBARCATI...ed era vero: la squadra e´ora in danimarca...dopo aver solcato il mar Baltico con una mano sul manubrio e l´altra che teneva un hot dog (devo tradurre anche hot dog?) comprato nel parcheggio del traghetto.
La tappa da Neustadt non e´stata facile perche´le caviglie di Andrea dolevano precchio, ma nessuna discussione: il count down era inizitato, il razzo stava scaldando i motori e la procedura di lancio non poteva essere fermata!
Inizialmente preoccupati di non trovar posto a bordo il team scopriva che:
Appena sbarcati in Danimarca tutto cambiava: non piu´fretta, da quel momento in avanti ogni km era vacanza...ed era finalmente possibile ammirare il panorama danese e respirare lo stile di vita scandinavo. Dappertutto bandiere rosse con croce bianca piantate nei giardini delle abitazioni e piccole e graziose casette con grandi finestre attaverso cui un italiano curioso puo´sbirciare liberamente...
In traghetto la squadra faceva conoscenza con una coppia svizzero-tedesco-tailandese (Thomas & Daniela) che stava seguendo pressapoco la stesso percorso. All´attracco Thomas scopriva di aver dimenticato il cellulare in un ristorante in Germania quindi si vedeva costretto a tornare indietro, mentre Daniela rimaneva in Rødby e, dopo aver montato il campo, il Cobram´s Team + Daniela andavano a cenare assieme...prime birre danesi in terra danese (Carlsberg...Proably the best beer in town).
Le bici piangevano perché il fango e la pioggia avevano seccato le meccaniche. In campeggio un lavaggio profondo e una ri-oliata generale le faceva sentire ancora giovani!
Nota finale: il tempo ora e´veramente estvo; sole splendente in cielo e temperatura che tocca i 20 gradi (ok, siamo in Scandinavia, quindi l´estate e´ cosi´)

13th Stage: Hamburg - Neustadt in Holstein 120 km
Bonjours dear followers, due to techinical problems it was quite difficoult to update the blog in the last days, but we will priovide you a nice resume of the last stages...
Stages 13 and 14 were a bit crazy...in fact the "Denmark flu" was running in the blood of the team members : no matters how many km, no matters if the legs are timberwood wise and no matter if rain is falling (yes of course....rain...it is not a problem)...bikes were like sharks in presence of blood: FOCUSED ON THE TARGET of arriving in Denmark!
After a comfortable night in Meike´s couch, the guide took the group out of the city (without her I think we would still be in Hamburg trying to find a way out of it...thank you again!)..20 km of suburbs and finally the city was behind and the landscape appeared in all its nordic charm...wind, clouds moving fast and something yellow in the sky...they call it "sun", but the Cobram´s team wasn´t used to it and forgot its name.
The first 80 km to Lubeck passed easily, with the good surprise of a "Nordsee" sandwich with marinated haring and onion that gave enough energies to run 40 additional km in order to arrive to Neustadt: finally the see in front of the steering bars!!!
In conclusion the dinner with fried fish and kartoffel salad in the port of Neustadt were like a poem written for our mouths!! I think that the team will dream about these verses all night long!

Buongiorno cari followers, a causa di problemi tecnici e´stato un po´difficile mantenere aggiornato il blog negli ultimi giorni, ma vi sara´ sottoposto un breve riassunto delle ultime tappe.
Le tappe 13 e 14 sono state "tappe pazze"...infatti "la febbre danese" correva nel sangue dei membri della squadra...non importa quanti km, non importa se le gambe ormai sono assi di legno e non importa se la pioggia cade imperterrita (si vabbeh, la pioggia...di sicuro non e´ un problema)..le bici erano come squali in presenza del sangue: bersaglio nel mirino, arrivare in Danimarca!
Dopo una notte sul divano di Meike, la guida conduceva il gruppo fuori dalla citta (senza di lei credo che saremmo ancora ad Amburgo in cerca di una via d´uscita...grazie ancora!)..dopo 20 km di sobborghi finalmente la citta´era alle spalle e il paesaggio appariva nel suo fascino nordico: vento, nuvole veloci e qualcosa di giallo nel cielo...lo chiamano "sole", ma il Cobram´s team non era piu´abituato a vederlo e quindi lo aveva dimenticato.
I primi 80 km fino a Lubecca passavano placidi con l'ottima sorpresa di un panino "nordsee" con aringa marinata e cipolla in quantita´ che dava le energie sufficienti a coprire altri 40 km per arrivare a Neustadt...finalmente il mare si stagliava davanti ai manubri!
In conclusione la cena con pesce fritto e insalata di patate nel porto di Neustadt era come una poesia scritta per le nostre bocche! Penso che la squadra sognera´questi versi per tutta la notte
